So, hey, mini little story arc!  How about them bananas?

To go along with this arc, since it covers the point that the difference between gay and straight folks is how they shun the Good Lord’s love, I thought I would share a link to some of my favourite LGBT super heroes, courtesy of the awesomely-informative website Gay League!

Gay Super Hero link of the day: Freedom Ring
So here’s the skinny: dude finds a magic ring and decides to become a super hero.  The twist: he’s really, really terrible at it.  Y’know how new super heroes just sorta turn up, and are automatically awesome?  Not Freedom Ring.  He gets killed his first time out.  The point of the character was to add some realism to comics, according to creator Robert Kirkman, and that he was gay simply because there weren’t to many gay hereoes in Marvel.  I dig that.

1) It’s a Calvin and Hobbes parody. Or tribute. Or, y’know, I-heart-Bill-Watterson thing. Seriously, if you don’t know your Calvin and Hobbes, go back and read that, because if you don’t know that stuff, you shouldn’t be spending your time reading webcomics: go to your library, grab a collection. Grab them all, and don’t return them.

2) It’s Rae! Look at her, all cute and such! She knows how bleak things are lookin’, and she still doesn’t want to swindle poor, foolish Dan.

3) Tattoo Dan is wearing a thin sweater, and that’s why you can’t see his eponymous ink. It’s totally not that I forgot. It’s November, the guy needs a sweater.

4) This was done on real-live paper, with a real-live pen. I hated nearly every minute of it, but I don’t think Rae turned out too bad. I especially like her expressing in the fourth panel. Dan, not so much.

It’s been a while since I did a “Kyle’s a total douche” comic. What, you think I make these things for other peoples’ enjoyment? Especially after the last one?
